Advice:  Find this out.  It will save you a lot of time worrying about sections that don't count.

Here's how to find out:

  1. They don't always give you a straight answer, so ask very directly if there are any sections they don't look at as much as the others.
  2. They may still be evasive and say, "Oh, just do your best on everything."  Ask again if any sections are more important to them than others (this is the converse of the first way you asked and may get a more direct answer).
  3. If you still haven't gotten a clear yes or no, you may get some clues when you ask what scores they are looking for.  If they say they want a combined score of 1000, that would include only 2 sections (since divided among three it would be a pitifully low score) and you can nail them on which two.

This brings us to the next question:

2.  Do you know what scores your program is looking for?

Yes, I have gotten a clear idea from them.

No, I don't have a clear idea or haven't asked.
